About Us
|
Our IGA store is a locally owned, "Hometown Proud" supermarket. That means we're deeply committed to being more than just a great grocery store. It means we strive every day to make a difference in our community. As a member of Independent Grocers Alliance, a worldwide network of family oriented retailers, we share in the belief that "a good grocery store isn't a sprawling, impersonal example of cookie cutter commerce, but a community hub owned and operated by the very people who know the area best—the citizens." Service, quality and savings are important to us at Rodhe’s IGA. Why? Because we know they are important to you! We're a little old fashioned when it comes to service; we want to make your shopping experience as enjoyable as possible! A brief Store History Rodhe’s was founded in 1934 by Glen and Majora Rodhe in downtown Millersburg, Ohio. IGA was only 8 years old at the time. Years later, in the 1940's, the store was expanded to include the neighboring store. Then in 1969 a new building was home to the then Rodhe’s Foodliner. This store was much larger and just off Main Street. This store expanded across 12,000 square feet. Eleven more years passed and by the time it was 1980 it was time to expand again. Renovations improved the size of the store to 23,000 square feet and included many departments and even a banquet room. The present store was completed 1991 in a new location just outside of town. The store is now spanning 53,000 sq. ft. Since then the store has added many new features to make your shopping experience more enjoyable including fuel pumps in the summer of 2007. However, no matter where Rodhe's IGA is located, you'll be sure to find one underlying theme. You the customer, is what comes first to us. | |
